Brief Breed Profile The breed was named from its origins in the Lake Van district of Turkey. The breed is known for its unique "van" pattern, which is an all white coat except for the head and tail, which is coloured. They have a semi longhaired coat, which is soft and silky and does not mat. The coat is temperature controlled and can be quite long during winter months and almost short in summer months. Their coat comes in all colours. They are affectionate, intelligent and rather active. All kittens are de-sexed, micro chipped and will have at least 2 of their 3 kitten vaccinations before going to their new home. Kittens will be allowed to leave between the age of 10 - 16 weeks, depending on their maturity.
